Corporate HSE Expert - Germany or France
As the Corporate HSE Expert, within the corporate and local HSE organization, you will play a central role in shaping and driving the company’s Care to be Safe, safety journey.
This position will be responsible for supporting, developing and maintaining the current and future HSE standards of the group. A specific emphasis in that the role is dedicated to process safety management (PSM). The candidate will have experience in HSE domains, demonstrated expertise in PSM, and the ability to influence and lead safety initiatives across a multinational organization. You will report to the HSE director of the company.
Responsibilities:
· Support the continuous improvement and further development of the current HSE journey that align with global standards and best practices.
· Support to ensure consistency in current and future HSE standards across all company sites, fostering a unified safety culture.
· Support the development and maintenance of the corporate PSM program that includes risk assessment, process design and equipment integrity, operating procedures, maintenance practices and emergency response plans
· Monitoring and review of incidents and potential events from multiple sites to support the identification of opportunities for improvement in safety, support the sites in investigation.
· Provide technical expertise and guidance to site-based process safety engineers and other stakeholders on PSM-related matters.
· Support the sites in safety risk assessments including process safety risks.
· Participate in corporate HSE audits and inspections and ensure that corrective actions are implemented across all sites.
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that new processes are designed with safety in mind and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
· Successfully completed bachelor degree, preferably in a technical/scientific field with a focus on chemistry, chemical process engineering, energy or environmental technology.
· Qualification (certified safety specialist) or corresponding several years of experience in the field of occupational health and safety.
· Experience in the domain of occupational health and safety and process safety.
· Additional experiences in the domains of industrial hygiene, transport safety and/or environmental management/environmental protection would be an advantage.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
· Fluent communication and presentation skills in English and German/French, both written and spoken, absolutely essential
· Readiness to travel
